About Organic Soaps..
In store bought shampoos and soaps there is a chemical called Sodium Lauryl
Sulfate. This chemical is used to clean grease off heavy machinery and motors.
Manufacturers put SLS in beauty products to help strip away the oils in your
body. They also use it in skin care products like lotions.
SLS is actually known to cause cancer in humans and has many other side effects as well.
Another ingredient found in store bought lotions is petroleum. The problem with petroleum is it actually stops moisture from getting into your skin. We use olive oil and bees wax type bases for our lotions and soaps. This way, your skin can actually draw in moisture and any type of vitamins and minerals that it needs.
